2 Saturdays ago, I met with Mariam and some other exchange students and we went to have pancakes for dinner.

A few weeks ago, there was the meteor shower, and so we decided to go watch the meteor shower at 4am. Yes, we were so enthusiastic about it. I didn’t have class the next day, and the rest didn’t have early classes, so we went to TD Waterhouse to see the meteors. Was it worth staying up till 4am to watch the meteors? Yes. Was it worth the cold? Maybe.

It was very very very cold! I don’t recommend anyone walk around alone at 4am, unless you’re in a group of ≥5.

Last Thursday, Gabe, Ashley, Reema, Vivek and I went for a pancake dinner. No photos because we were famished and we were looking forward to the pancakes. Same pancake place as the previous time. On Saturday, I accompanied Ashley because she wanted to do some shopping at Old Navy because they were having a one-day sale. Vivek came over, bringing his Koko Krunch (sanggup I tell you) and so we decided to have a Koko Krunch party that night.

This is Vivek. Even though he doesn’t look like it, he’s actually jumping for joy because he has a box of Koko Krunch just for him, shipped all the way from Singapore.

Last night, it snowed! But only for a moment. All the snow melted today. Boo hoo!! Ashley keeps hoping and praying that it’ll snow just for me. I’m touched. We were sitting at our window and I said ‘I want to go outside and touch the snow!’ and both Ashley and Reema enthusiastically said ‘OK!’ The 3 of us got dressed in under 2 minutes and ran out of Essex. Vivek (who lives in London Hall) was skeptical, until he stepped out to join us. Did I mention that I love these people for entertaining my whims on the Canadian experience? I don’t recommend anyone running out at 1am alone, because that’s dangerous, except if you’re in the company of really good people, like my friends!

we left our place at 5.30pm. we were going to meet Gabe at Barakat because he was at Marble Slab Creamery with his friends. We had to introduce Ashley McCallan the white girl Shawarma. it’s those pita kebab things we ate at Mekah and I ate the paper. I DID NOT EAT ANY PAPER THIS TIME!! must be proud. (: Roochi couldn’t/didn’t want to join us because she has to study for her exams, so Gabe joined us instead. We got a 4-pack deal, so it’s cheaper than buy individual tickets.

Did I mention that I love this girl? She is the most random person I know. And to think that I never spoke a word to her during O-Week, now she’s my personal confidant.

end of the show! it was brilliant and magnificent and breath-taking and spectacular!! i was gasping at all the acrobats, and the clowns were funny and cute and adorable, especially the one with the orange pants who gave the singer a love letter. bez…

THANKS, YOU GUYS FOR TAKING TIME OUT TO WATCH ALEGRIA WITH ME JUST BECAUSE I WANTED A CANADIAN EXPERIENCE. And Gabe is pretty awesome for agreeing to go out with 3 girls when you could’ve spent the night eating ice cream.

That’s Reema’s flipflops taped to her door. I was getting annoyed that she left her flipflops all over the house (like under my table), so I decided to tape them there. It was all in good fun though. We laugh about it from time to time, and she doesn’t leave them everywhere now. Don’t worry, she got mad for 30 seconds, and we all burst out laughing from the sheer ridiculous thing. (:

Hello. This is Reema Shah. She likes to eat humans in her spare time. Even though she’s vegetarian.

And, félicitations to Daddy for receiving the award! Though, can someone explain to me (in detail) what this award is?

Plus, I’m experiencing time warp problems. I fly through 12 time zones with no problem, but returning one hour for daylight savings has caused my body clock some masalah. Like, I’ve been waking up at 7am (which used to be 8am) everyday for the past 2 days. Sigh… Must re-adjust that one hour.

p/s: Next Thursday, Reema, Ashley, Gabe (Reema’s friend) and I are going to watch Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria.

I replied, ‘Oh the cistern? Yea.. Bathroom on the right.’

Rocker dude plumber turns to me and astonishingly says, ‘Yea… the cistern… First time I heard a girl know what it’s called.’
He turned to his colleague and remarked, ‘She’s good. She’d fix the thing if she knew how.’

They peered into the cistern and go, ‘Ah… The pipe is in the wrong direction,’ and looked at me like I knew how the components of a toilet work. They were nice and entertaining, singing heavy metal tunes from the 80′s as they were going along.

At least now our flush works like a brand new toilet. Usable and efficient toilets are ace. (:
